Inland Tibetan students return to Tibet for exams
Recently, the 108 Tibetan students from the Tibetan Class in Number 35 Middle School of Hefei City, Anhui Province arrived in their hometown in Tibet to take the high school entrance exam, and to prepare for a new phase in their studies.
In the 1980s, due to a lack of professionals in Tibet and its weaker educational foundation, the government decided to build Tibetan Class in inland China for Tibetan students. In the more than 30 years, these schools have become critical basecamps for supplementing Tibetan education and talent cultivation.
