Tibet embraces first winner of track and field in Youth Olympic Games
On the morning of October 17th, the 10th day of the Youth Olympic Games, the Chinese delegation has won one gold medal each in archery and track and field. The gold medal won by Ti Ricuo in the 5000-meter racewalking competition is the first track and field gold medal won by a Tibetan athlete.
Ti Ricuo, who is only 1.58 meters in height, won first place with 45 minutes and 3.49 seconds in the competition.
