Spain's Lopez wins 12th stage of 2018 Tour of Qinghai Lake
Spanish rider Daniel Lopez Parada from Burgos-BH took the crown in the 3-hour fast Yinchuan leg of the 17th Tour of Qinghai Lake on Friday.
The second and third places went to Turkish rider Balkan Onur from Toruk Sekerspor (TRK) and Hennessy Jacob from Mitchelton-Bikeexchange (MBE).
A total of 22 cycling teams competed in the Yinchuan part of the journey riding a length of 107 miles with 3 spring points. All of the cyclists departed from west Yinchuan's Renmin Square and rode 28 miles to east Yinchuan's Jingchen Park and then rode a circuit of 13.14 miles centered with the park. It was cloudy with a breeze, which made for a rather comfortable competition for the riders.
Colombian Hernan Ricardo from Manzana Postobon remains the leader of the KOM classification, and Frenchman Jones Brenton achieved the highest score in the Points classification. Kazakhstan cyclist Davidenok Ilya from XDS won the Best Asian Rider classification.
The last stage of the 2018 Tour of Qinghai Lake will begin in Lanzhou, Gansu Province on Saturday.
