Asiatic jackal discovered in Tibet
On July 2, 2018, a Himalayan expedition organized by the Tibet Biodiversity Image Conservation (TBIC) was launched in the middle of the Himalayan Mountain Range in Tibet.
On July 7, while TBIC expedition experts Peng Jiansheng, Dong Lei, and others visited meadows, gravel beaches, azalea, and shrub areas around Gyirong Town, Tibet to conduct research on the flora and fauna there, a foxlike animal in the shrubs suddenly flashed past, disappearing through the bushes along the downhill slope before the expedition team was able to capture a very clear image of the animal.
