7.1-magnitude quake hits Papua New Guinea
A 7.1-magnitude earthquake hit Papua New Guinea at 4:48 a.m. Thursday Beijing Time, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
The epicenter, with a depth of 20 km, was monitored at 5.7 degrees south latitude and 151.25 degrees east longitude, the center said.
