Explosions heard near the US embassy in Baghdad
Loud explosions were heard near the US embassy in Iraq's capital city of Baghdad. There are no immediate reports of casualties or damages.
A total of three mortars were fired at an abandoned area in Baghdad Green Zone at 1:00 a.m. local time, confirmed the Iraqi Coalition Command.
Two initial explosions occurred near the US embassy, another took place near a refugee community area, according to witnesses. The matter is under investigation.
