China, DPRK artists stage joint performance in Pyongyang

Visiting Chinese artists joined hands with their DPRK peers, presenting songs and dances that are popular among the people of both countries, along with other kinds of performances.

Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), watched the performance.
After which, Kim took the stage, shook hands with the main actors and spoke highly of their excellent performance.

Ahead of the performance, the top DPRK leader had previously met with the principal members of a Chinese delegation of literary and art workers which started visiting DPRK on Friday.
Kim, who highly praises the healthy and stable development of the relations between the DPRK and China, noted that the Chinese delegation's visit will greatly promote mutual exchanges between the two countries in the field of culture and arts, enhance the friendly feelings of the two peoples, and consolidate the traditional friendship between the two countries.

Led by China's Minister of Culture and Tourism Luo Shugang, the delegation was at the invitation of the Ministry of Culture of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), and will present performances to the DPRK people and carry out exchange activities with DPRK artists, including joint performances.

The performance on November 3, was the first joint performance during the Chinese artists' ongoing visit.
