Wild giant panda photographed again after Jiuzhaigou earthquake
According to the Sichuan Wujiao Nature Reserve in Jiuzhaigou County, Ngawa Prefecture, southwest China's Sichuan Province, on July 3, staff members found footage of a wild panda inside the infrared camera placed in the Hongliupo area of the nature reserve.
Hu Xueyu, director of the administrative office of the Jiuzhaigou County Wujiao Nature Reserve, said that this is the second time wild pandas had been captured on infrared camera in the nature reserve since the“8.8”Jiuzhaigou earthquake in 2017.
Hongliupo is located on the ridge of the junction of the Shiguanzi Ravine and the Caijia Ravine in the Wujiao Nature Reserve in Sichuan Province. At an altitude of 3,000 meters, the vegetation in this area is coniferous and broad-leaved forest. The timing of the footage of the wild giant panda's activity is shown to be around 19:37 on June 2, 2018, and the video lasts about 40 seconds. On the video, one can clearly see a chubby, adult wild giant panda playing on the ground for a while, then standing up and leaving.
