The guardians of the Ruo’ergai Meadows

The number one branch of the Jiuqu Yellow River, is part of Ruo’ergai County in Aba Tibetan Automonous Prefecture,China’s southwest Sichuan province and it is located in the junction of Sichuan, Qinghai, and Gansu Provinces.

Recently, the Ruo’ergai County Public Security Bureau’s horseback division conducted training in the Jiuqu Yellow River area. The division has six officers whose responsibilities are to patrol the border area between Sichuan and Gansu Provinces, visit local herders and learn about their families’ conditions. On the beautiful Ruo’ergai Meadows, this team is known as “the Eagles of the Meadows.”
