China's Second Tibetan Model Contest begins audition in Lhasa
On July 2nd, 2018, Bodhpa Show Fashion Week and China's Second Tibetan Model Contest begins its first round of audition in Lhasa, capital city of southwest China's Tibet. " Bodhpa" means "Tibetan ethnic group".
It is learned that the registration starts at June 10th and will have auditions in Tibet and Tibet-inhabited areas including Gansu province, Qinghai province, Sichuan province, and Yunnan province. Contestants will take part in professional trainings and competed for the Tibetan model talents through preliminary contest, intermediary contest and a final match.
Tsesuo, a teacher from Lhasa, is confident and has won acceptance from some previous ethnic brand shows. But it is a pity that she had never received any professional training before. She said, "I hope I can present myself well in this competition and get professional advices and guidance from the mentors during this competition, so as to help my model dream go further."
As the pioneer of ethnic costume culture, Bodhpa Show held its first session on May 14th, 2016, and in March 2017, for the first time Tibetan costume and Tibetan model showed themselves via the show on the stage of China Fashion Week. Later in 2017 July, the Bodhpa Show Fashion Week and China's first Tibetan Model Contest was successfully held.
It's been reported that the final match will be held on July 26th, 2018.
