Soccer tournament kicks off on campus
The second soccer tournament held by Minzu University of China recently kicked off, during which players from Tibetan Antelope Team and Yushu Wild Yak Team did a fairly good job and emerged as popular "soccer stars" thanks to their strong physique and fierce determination.
"It doesn't matter what our rankings are, we just wanted to play soccer. The World Cup is here, so we're warming up too," said Nyima Tsering, a player from Tibetan Antelope Team.
"When we were kids, we would play soccer all the time. We didn't know any of the rules, we just wanted to make the goal. After we came to study in the inland areas, we learned a lot more about soccer, and we love the sport even more now."
