In order to alleviate tourists reception pressure, on July 23,the Potala Palace in Lhasa opened a new tour route apart from the current route.
With the arrival of high tourism season, the number of tourists entering Tibet has increased significantly, and the Potala Palace is also facing peak passenger flow. It is learned that in order to strengthen the protection of the Potala Palace, new tour routes will be opened on days when visitor volume exceeds 5,000 people, which will allow for appropriate increases in the daily reception limit.
