Thangka, bilingual biographies of Panchen Lamas on display
A large charity exhibition themed “For A New era:Tibetan and Han Calligraphy and Painting Works”was launched in the Cultural Palace of Nationalities on June 12.
The exhibition, with biographies of all the Panchen Lamas as the main line, focuses on telling the contributions that Panchen Lamas have made in promoting Buddhism doctrines,safeguarding national unity and benefiting our people, according to the sponsor.
The exhibition displays a total of 11 Thangka paintings, bilingual(Chinese and Tibetan) biographies of the Panchen Lamas as well as traditional Chinese paintings with Tibetan characteristics.the exhibition runs on June 17.
