Preferential policies released for “Winter Tours in Tibet”
The Tibet Autonomous Region will continue to adopt the “Winter Tours in Tibet ” special offer policies for this winter and next spring season; public level 3A and above scenic spots except monasteries will offer free tours and up to 50 percent off for accommodation and transportation fees, according to Wang Songping, director of the Tourism Development Commission of Tibet, who said that during the 4th Tibet Tourism and Culture Expo from September 7 to 11.
The special offer period will last from November 1 of this year to March 15, 2019. During this period, the prices of star-rated hotels, international brands, boutique hotels, and transportation companies throughout the region shall implement prices at up to 50 percent off from peak seasons. Airline discounts will average prices at no less than 50 percent off.
Known as the Third Pole of the earth, Tibet has a rich and diverse ecosystem and many unique and magnificent landscapes. Five of the world’s 14 mountain peaks above 8,000 meters are located in Tibet.
