The Panchen Lama concludes Buddhist activities in Tibet, returns to Beijing
The Panchen Lama Bainqen Erdini Qoigyijabu successfully completed his visit and Buddhist activities in southwest China’s Tibet, flying back to Beijing at noon on September 27.
The Panchen Lama continued to conduct a series of activities in Shigatse in September after concluding his visit in Chamdo.
On September 21, the Panchen Lama arrived at the dairy farm of Tashilhunpo Monastery to survey its production and operations.
On September 24, the Panchen Lama attended the launch ceremony of the Tibetan Youth Cultural and Creative Fund.
The Panchen Lama also observed monks debate and perform the cham dance (a sacred religious ritual) and worshipped in the Tsochen Great Hall at Tashilhunpo Monastery.
