On the evening of December 29, the “2018 Craftsmen of Tibet” awarding ceremony was held in Lhasa.

The honorees are Jiang Liangwen, a leading figure of Sichuan-Tibet Railway geological engineering, a national priority project; Kelzang Norbu , a top researcher in cardiovascular and high-altitude illnesses in Tibet; Yu Dailin, an innovator in highland barley growth; Tashi Nyima, a frontline worker in high-voltage electricity repair; Phumtsog, an expert builder of ancient architecture who has worked on the Potala Palace; Xie Zhao, a worker who innovated copper-molybdenum separation; and Norbu Sida, a representative artisan and teacher of tangka art, a national-level intangible cultural inheritor.
