Tibet Airlines releases new policies to benefit local people

2021-01-18 09:48:00China Tibet Online

Starting from January 1, 2021, Tibet Airlines has launched two flights from Lhasa to Ngari and Lhasa to Chamdo in order to further improve travel conditions for people in the region.

Tashi Tsomo, vice chairwoman of the CPPCC of Ngari Prefecture, said that before Tibet Airlines opened, people from Ngari had to drive at least two days to get to Lhasa, a long distance and a high cost. After the introduction of air travel, the travel time has been greatly shortened. In recent years, with increasingly close personnel exchanges between the two places, flight tickets are often hard to get. The new flight and preferential fare policies will help solve problems of purchasing tickets, make fares more accessible to the people, and provide a convenience for the masses in the region.
