Each winter, large batches of black-necked cranes migrate from their breeding grounds to the middle reaches of the Yarlung Zangbo River valley for their wintering period. Lhundrup County in Lhasa serves as a crucial wintering site for these migratory birds, hosting a population that exceeds 2,000 black-necked cranes.
