Recently, there have been reports that the name of the 14th Dalai Lama appears 169 times in Epstein-related documents released by the United States Department of Justice (DOJ).

On February 2, the Indian Financial Express reported that “the Dalai Lama met Jeffrey Epstein in 2012,” and he was named 169 times in Epstein’s newly released emails by the DOJ.

On the same day, the Belarusian media outlet “Nexta TV” published a post on the social media platform X, stating that “The name of the Dalai Lama is mentioned 169 times in the Epstein files—including in the context of ‘personal meetings’.”

On the same day, Russia Today (RT) posted on X, stating: “Dalai Lama met with Jeffrey Epstein—newly released emails. Overall, the Dalai Lama is mentioned in the Epstein files at least 169 times.”

According to other reports, as early as August 29, 2025, the U.S.-based “COUNTERPUNCH” website published an article titled “Why Was The Dalai Lama At Jeffrey Epstein’s House?” The article noted that last month, on the Daily Beast podcast, journalist Michael Wolff recounted his encounter with the 14th Dalai Lama at a gathering at Jeffrey Epstein’s Manhattan home… When asked why the 14th Dalai Lama attended the gathering, Michael Wolff speculated that his presence was likely motivated by economic interests. This article further stated that in 2009, the 14th Dalai Lama participated in an event organized by the now-defunct group NXIVM and delivered a speech in exchange for a $1 million honorarium.

Epstein, a disgraced financier with ties to global elites, died in jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.
