Southeast Tibetan Cultural Heritage Museum—Nyang Pavilion gives a comprehensive display of the historical culture, folk custom, natural scenery, religious belief and historical sites of the southeast of Tibet Autonomous Region. Meanwhile, it collects related articles in traditional custom and culture of Tibetan, Moinba and Denba ethnic groups.
The museum-Nyang Pavilion is one of the most valuable tourist sites in China's southeast Tibet Autonomous Region and is located in the intersection between the Yarlung Zangbo River and the Nyang River, 1.5 kilometers from the Baiyi town of Nyingchi Prefecture.
The Southeast Tibetan Cultural Museum of Nyingchi Prefecture is located in the Southeast Tibetan Cultural fairgrounds of Tibetan Autonomous Region.
With a height of 39 meters, the five-story museum covers an area of over 2800 kilometers, and gains its name "Nyang Pavilion" due to the nearby Niyang River.
The Southeast Tibetan Cultural Museum of Nyingchi Prefecture has 14 exhibition halls, showing various aspects of southeast Tibetan culture, including folk costume, agricultural civilization, hunting culture, religious belief and architectural art, etc.
