A few days ago, reporters learned from the Tibet Library that the library has received more than 120,000 visitors who borrow 11,000 books throughout the year. For the first time, readers are able to renew books, review collections, and view new book notifications online.
It is reported that as of now, the Tibet Library has had more than 14,000 visits to its digital resources and 25,000 e-book downloads. The “Tibet Digital Culture Network” website (http://www.tdcn.org.cn/) has been visited more than 2.1 million times, and there are nearly 10,000 followers of the Tibet Library WeChat official account. More than 120 reading and promotional activities were carried out during the year, including 16 lectures in the Western Library and more than 40 English Corners. More than 20 reading promotions and events were held in prisons, schools, communities, and construction sides, with a cumulative participation of more than 50,000 people.
