Tibet conducts Tibetan meal skills training for farmers and herdsmen

In order to increase the employability of farmers and herdsmen, the Human Resources and Social Affairs Bureau of Bayi District, Nyingchi, Tibet has held skills training courses for Tibetan chefs in Tongmai Village in Mirui Township and in Jiemai Village in Bujiu Township. At present, the 45-day training courses have been successfully completed.

In the training, 66 trainees were all farmers and herdsmen desiring to find a job and love Tibetan cooking and entrepreneurship. The training included making Tibetan noodles, phoenix-tailed curry, beef patties, snow land curry, and other Tibetan snacks.

At the end of the course, the Bayi District Human Resources and Social Security Bureau conducted vocational skills appraisals on the trainees. The appraisals mainly carried out assessments in terms of knife skills, platters, color, and nutrition, and the 66 trainees were all well qualified.
