The Wangda Food Company in Bainang County, Shigatse City, Tibet specializes in highland barley instant noodles. While the company has promoted the development of local agriculture processing industry, it has also benefited its surrounding farmers and nomads. The company consists of three highland barley cooperatives. Farmers supported by the cooperative platform provide the company with around 1,500 tons of high-quality barley each year, which increases the incomes of more than 1,300 barley-growing households and brings a stable income to impoverished families.
