Recently, the Tibetan Opera Troupe of the Tibet Autonomous Region invited a six-member cultural relic identification expert group from the Tibet Museum and the Cultural Relics identification Center of Cultural Relics Bureau of the region to carry out cultural relics identification work.

After five days of intense work, 451 collections of traditional Tibetan opera costumes and props have been identified, and 73 precious cultural relics and 378 general cultural relics have been initially identified, and many fine cultural relics have also been discovered.

It is understood that this is the first cultural relic identification work carried out since the establishment of the Tibetan Opera Troupe. The experts spoke highly of the cultural relic management and protection work of the troupe, and also gave instructive suggestions for further protection and management work. It is hoped that the choreography team of the troupe and the Tibetan Opera Museum can play a greater role in collections managing, exhibition planning, and academic research.
