The Tibetan search engine Yongzin (yongzin.com) was launched in August 2016. It is the first of its kind in the world. Like other search engines, it allows Internet users to find web pages, news, photos, videos, music, academic documents on the Internet.
Yongzin means "master" or "teacher" in the Tibetan language. Currently, the total number of visits from Yongzin users has exceeded 3.5 billion. Its users have spread across China and other 70 countries and regions including the United States, France, Germany, and Australia. It has already become an important platform that connects Tibetans to the outside world.
