Forbidden City joins with Tashilhunpo Monastery to exhibit relics of Panchen Lamas for the first time

A cultural relic exhibition on the theme of the 1st to 9th Panchen Lamas and Tashilhunpo Monastery in southwest China's Tibet will be held from December 2019 to February 2020 at the Meridian Gate of the Forbidden City in Beijing. This will be the first time the Forbidden City Palace Museum will hold such a show since its establishment in 1925.

More than 220 cultural relics, including more than 140 items from the Forbidden City Palace Museum and more than 80 items from Tashilhunpo Monastery, will be exhibited, most of which will be exhibited to the public for the first time.
