Winter tourism opens in Daocheng County, SW China
During the six-month long winter travel season lasting from November of 2018 through May of 2019, the Yading scenic area in Daocheng County, Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, southwest China's Sichuan Province will feature 13 specialty activities as well as glacier sightseeing and other themed boutique tours. Tourists who are interested in traveling to the area should be aware of the following:
1. Temperature: around -4 to 13 degrees Celsius in winter, be aware of sun protection;
2. Temperature differences: strong temperature differences between night and day;
3. High altitude sickness: stay free of intense exercises and fast walking;
4. Food: Be careful of overeating and drinking, have more fruits and vegetables.
