It is the season for Spring ploughing. In Garbu village, Namling County, Shigatse, Tibet, tilling tradition with two cattle and plowshare is preserved during the spring ploughing ceremony. Hair been washed and combed, dressed up and fed with tsampa, the yaks would be driven by a well-dressed man to plow. With shouts, bells and laughter, villagers are looking forward for a good harvest in the coming year.
