Chamdo lies in the east of Tibet Autonomous Region, adjacent to Qinghai, Sichuan and Yunnan provinces. Known as the pearl of eastern Tibet, the city is endowed with natural scenery and has been upgrading the living environment for residents through reconstructing its old urban areas since 2012.
