At present, in Xainza County, Nagqu, Xizang Autonomous Region, there are four wild animal protection stations. 42 herdsmen are employed as wild animal protectors in villages and towns of the county to enhance field patrol and actively carry out work of publicity and rescue of wild animals. They play an important role in the daily protection of wild animals in the nature reserves.
