Recently, the 9th Agricultural and Livestrock Products and Ethnic Handicrafts Sales Exhibition in Sog County, Nagqu, the Xizang Autonomous Region opened.
The sales exhibition lasted for 3 days. There was the Meat Sales Area, Agricultural and Native Product Sales Area, and Supply and Marketing Cooperatives Exhibition Area. On site, it was bustling, as cooperatives and individual merchants gathered from 10 villages and towns in Sog County, and diversified featured products and fresh yak meat were brought for sale and attracted the attention of consumers.
In the exhibition, there were also merchants from out of the county, such as from Nyingchi, Amdo, Derge, and other places,.bringing with them some local specialties. “Sog County has beautiful landscapes and welcoming people. I’m happy my products are widely welcomed by customers here,” said Dawa Tsering, an individual merchant from Nyingchi.
According to statistics, the total sales on the first day of the exhibition were more than RMB30 million (about 4 million US Dollars). It not only increases the cash income of local people but also greatly promotes the exchange of goods among the farming and stockbreeding areas of Sog County.
