“Changxing”, which means “writing board” in Tibetan, is a kind of wood slab for Tibetan kids to practicing writing Tibetan characters before they can write well on the paper, so it is convenient and economical.

Nowadays, modern manufacture technologies have been introduced to the making of this traditional handicraft, more and more "writing boards" in different sizes and designs are produced.
