Traditional Tibetan style folk houses
The Daofu County is located in Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture i northwest Sichuan Province, with the highest altitude of 5,820 meters, the lowest altitude of 2,670 meters and an average altitude of 3,245 meters. The Daofu folk houses are commonly known as “Bongkho” in Tibetan, which integrate architecture, religion, culture, art and folk customs together. The main tones of the building are red, white and gray, with white and red roofs and white and gray walls. The wood structure are painted in burgundy and brownish red.
