Tibetan chicken farm: growing business to fight poverty

Pictured is the Jomda Chicken Cultivation Basecamp in Ba Village, Gongbo'gyamda County, Nyingchi, Tibet. The basecamp is raising over 13 thousand chickens, with daily egg production at more than 4000, and has helped local residents in boosting their income.

In recent years, in the fight against poverty, Tibet Autonomous Region in southwest China has used its excellent resources to build unique industry models to help impoverished residents participate in industry development and boost their income, truly achieving “one local industry promoting local economy and enriching local residents.”
