The Yiri Canyon in Riwoqe  County, Chamdo, Tibet is located in the Hengduan Mountains. It is 10 kilometers long and lies about 3,500 meters above sea level. In summer, the vegetation around the canyon is lush, the majestic peaks face each other, the sky is full of clouds and mist, and the scenery is beautiful. 

It is reported that tourists occasionally visit the canyon, and some farmers and herdsmen in the area run homestays by providing simple accommodations. Relying on cordyceps and other under-forest resources, as well as agricultural and animal husbandry and tourism operations, the farmers and herdsmen in the valley have been lifted out of poverty since 2017.
