Lokmar Village is located in the eastern suburbs of Shigatse, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region.

The founders of the village are 23 Buddhist monks who have resumed secular life,all of whom were once students of the 10th Panchen Lama.

Following the great social and economic changes in the countryside, they have discarded their monk robes to become ordinary farmers.

The short film Pure Land in Mundane World is shot against the backdrop of this Tibetan village,filming the daily lives and customs of the 78 people in 33 households who live here,from the spring ploughing season to midsummer.

The film  portrays a panoramic view of Lokmar Village and provides an anthropological interpretation of the rich and strong Tibetan culture.

The film combines anthropological ideas with documentary filming techniques,showing thousands of years of farming civilization on both sides of the Yarlung Tsangpo River.

The film has participated in several international film festivals,showing a real Tibet to Tibetologists, overseas Tibetans, and viewers abroad,and has received positive comments from those who love Tibet.
