Tashigang Village is located in Lulang Town, Bayi District, Nyingchi, southwest China's Tibet. It has an abundance of natural resources and beautiful scenery. The villagers here have put great efforts to develop the tourism service industry.
There are currently 180 people engaged in family inns throughout Tashigang Village, which accounts for 55 percent of the village's total. There are 51 family inns providing 1,200 beds. In 2018, the village welcomed more than 75,000 visitors and made more than 4 million yuan (0.59 million US dollars) in tourism revenue.
Sangye Drolma Guesthouse is not far from the village entrance. Inside this traditional Tibetan-style residence, there is a row of beautiful traditional Tibetan clothing, which visitors can put on and take pictures for free. The living room and kitchen are very bright, and the walls and cabinets are made of solid wood, with auspicious Tibetan patterns.
The main manager of the inn, Sangye Drolma, said: "There are 32 rooms on the first and second floors. We receive tourists from Lhasa all year round. My beds are all full from April to October."
Here, visitors can experience Tibetan customs, taste local specialties, and enjoy the natural scenery of the plateau pastures and forests of the Lulang. Bonfire parties are also held in the evening in the yard, and everyone can sing and dance together.
