With December 8th, 1995, being predicted as an auspicious day, the actual enthronement of the 11th Panchen Erdeni took place upon that date at the Tashilhunpo Monastery in Xigaze. Conferring a golden brochure and seal to the newly appointed leader was Mr. Li Tieying, State Councilor, representative of the State Council and Member of the Political Bureau, who was specially appointed by the Central Government to host the event. During the grand ceremony, the devout Buddhists in attendance could not help but notice the good poise and demeanor of the young boy, and this affirmed their confidence that he was the true reincarnation of the 10th Panchen Erdeni.
