Recently, the route investigation for the public drifting project along the Yarlung Zangbo River Nyemo County section, Lhasa, China’s Xizang Autonomous Region, was completed after more than a year of field surveys and repeated testing.

This golden waterway connects two prominent tourist destinations, Lhasa and Xigaze, offering gentle still waters that allow tourists to enjoy leisurely drifting as well as an exciting competition section of white-water rapids where people can enjoy the thrill and carefree drifting experience.

Subsequently, more details will be provided based on the data collected from this route investigation. This unique water experience on the plateau is anticipated to be officially launched in May 2025, providing an opportunity for all to share in its enjoyment.
