Over the past 10 years, nearly 70 billion yuan has been invested in the power grid construction in Tibet, more than the total investment in this field in the past 60 years.
-Electricity consumption has seen double-digit growth for many years, from 2.77 billion KWH in 2012 to 10.1 billion KWH in 2021.
-The construction of four power grid and a series of projects have been completed, stepping into the era of unified power grid.
-The main power grid covers all 74 counties (districts) and major towns and townships of the Tibet Autonomous Region, increasing the power supply population from 1.75 million to 3.45 million.
-Tibet first delivered electricity out of the region in 2015, and by 2021 it had delivered 9.1 billion KWH of clean electricity.
-Local farmers and herdsmen have been involved in the construction of the power grid. Since 2012, nearly 1.5 million people have been employed and the income has increased by 1.37 billion yuan.
