Recently, a black-necked crane looked for food in the wetland in Xainza County, Nagqu, Xizang.

With an average altitude of more than 4,500 meters, Xainza County is one of the main breeding places for black-necked cranes in China.

Black-necked cranes come here in groups for nesting, incubation, and raising of the next generation from April to June each year.

In recent years, to protect these precious living creatures, Xainza County took a series of measures and established monitoring stations to monitor the habitat of black-necked cranes for 24 hours a day and ensure that their breeding would not be disturbed.

The black-necked crane is a first-class national protected animal and the only kind of crane growing and breeding on the plateau in the world.
