On May 8, 2008, the Mountaineering Team of the Beijing Olympic Games torch relay at Mt. Qomolangma successfully climbed to the summit of Mt. Qomolangma.

At 11 o’clock on May 27, 2020, China’s 2020 Mt. Qomolangma elevation survey team successfully reached the summit of Mt. Qomolangma for remeasurement of the peak.
