A project to standardize a dairy-farming center in Medrogunkar County, Lhasa City began construction in June 2019 with a total investment of 130 million yuan （about 18 million US dollars）and a land area of about 182 acres.

The central parts of the project include a lactating cowshed, integrated cowshed, special-circumstance cowshed, a milking room, a hay shed, and a solid and liquid separating workshop.

The project was put into operation in June 2020, and can accommodate as many as 1,000 cows. At present, it provides employment for 12 registered impoverished people.
