In recent years, the construction of Lhasa City has been accelerating, with the city area rapidly expanding. According to data from the Surveying and Mapping Institute of Tibet Autonomous Region, from 2000 to 2018 alone, the city area in Lhasa has grown from 39 square kilometres to more than 80 square kilometres, at a growth rate of 105%. Lhasa City is growing bigger and more beautiful.
