“I didn’t realize so many intangible cultural heritages were around us,” Lhamo, a resident of Gaocheng Township Community, said with emotion on October 18 at the event of experiencing intangible cultural heritage in the community, which was held in Litang County, Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, southwest China’s Sichuan Province.

According to event organizer, the main purpose of the event is to help our people and tourists in Litang know about our Litang culture and to pass down this culture.

Currently in Litang County there are three provincial-level intangible cultural heritage items and one provincial-level cultural inheritor; seven prefecture-level intangible cultural heritage items and 11 cultural inheritors; and 12 county-level intangible cultural heritage items and 18 county-level cultural inheritors.
