On March 28, the people of Ru village, Kungtang Township, Gyirong County, Shigatse City, Tibet Autonomous Region celebrated the anniversary of the liberation of serfs in Tibet with loud songs and cheerful dances. Under the bright sun, the snow mountains stood majestically, the decorating flags fluttered, and everyone was immersed in joy with wide smiles.

Early in the morning, the villagers gathered at the village committee. Tsering Tashi, first secretary of the village committee, called on everyone to remember how their lives had become better and better, compared with old times. In bursts of cheers and applause, the Ru village art performance team danced the Guozhuang dance with their own style, and sang songs.
