About 3,000 people from all walks of life in Brunei attended the event, which was co-organized by China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Chinese embassy in Brunei and Bruneian authorities.

The audience enjoyed the wonderful performance of Chinese Shaolin Kung Fu and Taichi Kung Fu by a group of Kung Fu masters from central China's Henan province.

"Kung Fu and Taichi have long gone beyond China and are enjoyed by people all over the world. I am pleased that Kung Fu and Taichi are also popular among the people in Brunei," Chinese Ambassador to Brunei Yu Hong said in her welcoming speech before the performance.

"China and Brunei facing each other across the sea, are good neighbors sharing a long history of exchanges and traditional friendship. The exchanges and cooperation between the two countries are getting stronger," Yu Hong said.

"Next year will be the year of Tourism of China and Brunei. We welcome more and more friends from Brunei to visit China and experience China's beauty and culture," Yu Hong added.
