On December 15, the 18th Livestock Product Trade Fair opened at the Nagqu Farmers’ Market in Xizang. This year’s fair spans five days and has attracted a total of 1,485 business entities, including 172 cooperative organizations (enterprises), 371 family farms and large-scale breeders, as well as 942 farming and herding households.

The scale and reach of this fair are further expanded compared to previous years, showcasing a diverse array of products.

Among the offerings are freshly slaughtered yak meat, traditionally crafted butter, handmade woolen goods, Tibetan medicinal materials such as cordyceps and fritillaries, along with ethnic handicrafts that embody intangible cultural heritage skills—such as traditional Tibetan clothing and pieces of pulu. The event highlights the abundant resources and cultural richness of the Changtang grassland.
