On the afternoon of September 25, students and teachers from Kong Fansen Primary School in Gar County, Ngari Prefecture, Xizang, visited Tangyi Township Central Primary School in Liaocheng, Shandong Province. In the classroom, children from Ngari sat side by side with their Shandong peers, sketching festive scenes to welcome National Day. Their shared canvases featured national flags, balloons, Tiananmen Square, and gelsang flowers blooming quietly among rocks. Outside on the playground, the children encouraged one another as they forged deep connections through team games. The students from Shandong prepared special gifts—painted gourds and handwritten blessing cards; one card has a childlike handwriting that read: “May your future shine like the stars.” In return, the Ngari children extended heartfelt invitations: “Welcome to my home!”
Spanning over 4,000 kilometers, the innocence of childern has forged a bridge of friendship. This inter-school exchange not only enabled the children to immerse themselves in the cultural richness of both regions but also planted the seeds of ethnic unity amidst laughter and joy.
