The 2025 Lhasa Shoton Festival kicked off on August 23rd, featuring a series of events including Tibetan opera performances, intangible cultural heritage exhibitions, and horse racing competitions.

From August 23rd to 27th, the Tibetan opera, one of the most popular activities among Tibetans, was staged at the Norbu Lingka and Dzongyab Lukhang Park in Lhasa, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere and experience the allure of Tibetan opera through captivating performances by different troupes across Xizang.
